[Hurricane Rita] Abbeville, LA  October 25, 2005 -- A Crypt rests against the chain link fence it distored when Hurricane Rita's storm surge washed it from its shallow grave at Banckor Cemetary. Weapons and ammunition found in crypts and in a graveyard at Al Fallujah, Iraq, are removed by U.S. Marine Corps personnel from 3rd Battalion, 1ST Marines, 1ST Marine Division and Iraqi Special Security Forces during Operation Al Fajr.  Operation Al Fajr is an offensive operation designed to eradicate enemy forces within the city of Fallujah in support of continuing security and stabilization operations in the Al Anbar province of Iraq by units of the 1ST Marine Division. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
