A member of the Emergency Service Team, armed with an M-16 weapon, is strategically positioned outside of the Granite Inn Dining Facility, Cheyenne Mountain AFS in response to a simulated hostage situation. His job is to ensure that the perpetrator does not escape or cause additional trouble. He was participating in the 21st Space Wing's Operational Readiness Inspection conducted at Cheyenne Mountain Air Station and Peterson AFB, Colo., 13 to 17 February 1996.
