The US Naval Ship POLLUX (T-AKR) is anchored in the harbor off the Port of Pusan, Republic of Korea participating in a Combined Joint Logistics over-the-shore exercise (C/JLOTS) in support of the annual defensive exercise, FOAL EAGLE '98. The POLLUX is a Fast Sealift Ship designed to upgrade lift capability and expand Army preposition afloat program. Attached to the POLLUX Starboard side is a Roll on Roll off discharge facility which provides a causeway for vehicles to move from one ship to another. Attached to the causeway along side the POLLUX is a US Army Logistics Support Vessal (LSV) which will transport the vehicles moving from the POLLUX to Pier 8 at the Port of Pusan

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
