The Recovery School District elected to pursue the Alternate Project funding approach, taking full advantage of the Omnibus legislation in which FEMA funds Alternate Projects for public schools. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
