Perpetrators "shot" the security police members outside the launch facility. Security police wear a device that sounds off an alarm if they are shot and fall over. Once the alarm sounds the two maintenance personnel close the entrance to the launch tube and then call the missile alert facility to let them know there is a problem. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
