In the dark an F-16C, Block 52, Fighting Falcon, 157th Fighter Squadron (FS), taxies out to the McEntire Air National Guard Station flightline, for its long flight to Moron AB, Spain. Members of the South Carolina Air National Guard (SCANG) deploy in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. The SCANG personnel are the first Air National Guard personnel from South Carolina to deploy to forward locations in support of the "War on Terrorism". The SCANG sent F-16C/D, Block 52 aircraft and pilots from the 157th FS as well as maintainers and other support personnel from the 169th Fighter Wing (FW)

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. NARA keeps those Federal records that are judged to have continuing value—about 2 to 5 percent of those generated in any given year.
