A RIM-7M Sea Sparrow missle is launched from the aft mount of the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) during a weapons training exercise. TRUMAN is currently conducting advanced battle group training in preparation for it's maiden deployment in November 2000. The aircraft on the flight deck are a S-3B Viking from VS-22 "Checkmates" (foreground) and F-14 Tomcat from VF-32 "Swoardsman"

TRUMAN (CVN 75) from the Pilot Landing Aid Television/Integrated Launch and recovery Television System (PLAT/ILARTS) Station where she operates the camera. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
