Shown is a close-up of the uneven runway at Roberts International Airport, located outsi of Monrovia, Liberia. The runway has uneven concrete patchwork, that could possibly be a hazard for aircraft landing at the airport. The patchwork was laid on the runway after the original portion was torn out by government officials, because it was feared the runway was mined with land mines. The runway is two miles long and is being used by United States Air Force C-130E Hercules aircraft from the 86th Air Wing out of Ramstein Air Base, Germany, for Operation ASSURED LIFT.
