These items, possibly used to make and repair weapons, were found in what appears to be a weapons-making factory in the back of a computer store on the first floor of an unmarked Islamic Resistance Center building, located in the city of Fallujah, Al Anbar Province, Iraq, by a U.S. Marine Corps clearing operation on Dec. 2, 2004. The Marines have cleared the building so that foreign news reporters may enter the building to gather information for their news stories. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. NARA keeps those Federal records that are judged to have continuing value—about 2 to 5 percent of those generated in any given year.
