A new Flightline Main Entry gate construction continues at Aviano Air Base, Italy. The new main gate entry is the first ever of its type in USAFE. This upgrade will provide a Visitors Center, a guardhouse, canopy cover, improved road works and landscaping. The project includes force protection requirements and space for vehicle parking while processing for base entry. This construction greatly increases the Aviano community "Quality of Life."

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
