Lance Corporal R. L. Molt, a Messman with CSSD-27 (Combat Service Support Detachment), prepares cantelope for the salad bar at the mess hall during COMBINED ARMS Exercise (CAX) 6-97. The mess hall is capable of serving 3500 Marines per meal and serves two meals daily. CAX 5/6-97 is a MAGTF (Marine Air d Task Force) exercise being conducted at MCAGCC (Marine Corps Air d Combat Center), 29 Palms, California.
