This is the door that the Serbian Army had closed with cement blocks in front of it. They used this door to help conceal the Dutch YRP-765 Armored Personnel Carrier from aerial reconnaissance and patrols done on the ground during Operation JOINT GUARD. On December 20, 1996, the Implementation Force (IFOR) mission came to a conclusion and the 1ST Infantry Division was selected to continue serving in Bosnia as part of the new Stabilization Force (SFOR). After using a metal detector to first locate the land mine, a Serbian student then probes for the mine. Once a mine is detected, probing is mandatory. This realistic training was held near Brus. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
