US Navy (USN) Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC), Special Boat Team 22 (SBT-22), bring their Special Operations Craft Riverine (SOC-R) along the banks of the Pearl River in Louisiana searching for survivors of Hurricane Katrina. The SOC-Rs enables the SWCCs to go house-to-house along the river, checking on residents accessible only by boat. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
