Other Marines, civilian United Nations relief workers and Somalis are in the background. After the food for guns exchange was completed, the surplus grain was handed out to women and old men in a effort to win over the people of Mogadishu. As part of Project Trans-Am, this US Air Force Reserve aerial port team moved $100,000 dollars worth of excess war reserve medical supplies onto a C-141C Starlifter aircraft from the 89th Airlift Squadron, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The pallets of supplies were flown from Shaw Air Force Base, North Carolina, to Grissom Air Reserve Force, Indiana. Due to resizing, surplus medical supplies were donated to native North American-Indian communities. They will identify what they need from an inventory list. The Arkansas School District inadvertently acquired the lectern used by US President George W. Bush to address the nation from Eighth Air Force Headquarters hours after the September 11th terrorist attacks.
