Active Army and National Guard Explosive Ordnance Disposal

description

Summary

Active Army and National Guard Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians, side-by-side with civilian bomb techs from the Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., surrounding area stand by Aug. 25 at Leschi Town, JBLM’s premier mock village for training, during a demonstration of the Fluid Blade Disablement Tool – also called the Stingray – a device that destroys bombs before they can explode with the use of an ultra-high-pressure water beam. The demonstration was part of a live-fire EOD exercise on JBLM Aug. 24-26, called Ravens Challenge, that brought together military and civilian bomb techs from across Washington State and even agencies from Portland, Ore., and British Columbia, Canada.
