Summary
An Afghan engineer with the 505th Zone National Police sets off a percussion actuated disruptor, which propels water at an extremely high speed and destroys the power source to a notional improvised explosive device at Bost Airfield, Afghanistan, June 8, 2017. During the class, they focused on techniques to detect, uncover and destroy IEDs. Task Force Southwest, comprised of approximately 300 Marines and Sailors from II Marine Expeditionary Force, are training, advising and assisting the Afghan National Army 215th Corps and the 505th Zone National Police.
