US Air Force STAFF Sergeant John Douglas (left) and US Air Force Technical Sergeant Aubrey Gann get ready for another job in the 16th Expeditionary Operations Group hangar at Istres. SSGT Douglas and TSGT Goff are two of a four-man civil engineer team from 3rd Civil Engineers, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, deployed to the 16th EOG, a small US Air Force unit located on the French Air Base 25, Istres, whose KC-135 Stratotankers refuel US and NATO jets patrolling the Balkan region. These engineers are responsible for daily maintenance and repair of the unit's hangar, which measures about 1 million square feet
