Queens, N.Y., April 17, 2013 -- New York Federal Coordinating Officer (FCO) Michael Byrne and Federal Disaster Recovery Coordinator (FDRC) Ken Curtin meet with the Joint Field Office (JFO) staff at the six month mark of Hurricane Sandy. Over $6.5 billion in assistance, grants and loans has been distributed to individuals. Mr. Byrne predicts the JFO will continue to operate through October or November of this year.
