Summary
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, awarded a contract May 5, to transform the third floor of Montana Children’s, the new pediatric facility of the Kalispell Regional Medical Center, will host an alternate care facility for non-acute patients in case Montana faces an increase in COVID-19 patients in the fall. The Corps was tasked by FEMA at the request of the state to build the ACF. When completed, the ACF will have 98 patient care rooms, seven nurses' stations, four restrooms, three pharmacies and a medical supply storage room. (USACE photo by Mike A. Glasch)
