Jeremiah Bautista stands on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-Class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) during a sea-and-anchor evolution as the ship arrives at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for its final port call during its scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific. Dewey is deployed in support of maritime security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific and is operating under the command and control of U.S. 3rd Fleet. U.S. 3rd Fleet operating forward offers additional options to the Pacific Fleet commander by leveraging the capabilities of 3rd and 7th Fleets. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad.
