190619-M-QF372-1366 Sweden (June 19, 2019) – U.S. Marine Cpl. Christian Medina, a rifleman with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, patrols through a field during a tactics exercise in Sweden for Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2019. The Marines a part of Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, maneuvered and assaulted an objective as a company for the exercise. BALTOPS is an annual joint, multinational maritime-focused exercise. It is designed to improve training for participants, enhance flexibility and interoperability, and demonstrate resolve among allied and partner forces in defending the Baltic Sea region.
