A flag detail composed of senior noncommissioned officers from U.S. Army Japan (USARJ) and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force stand ready to post the colors during USARJ’s Army Birthday Ball June 26, 2015, at Camp Zama, Japan. The posting of the colors marks the official beginning of any Army Birthday Ball, and USARJ adhered to this tradition while incorporating several Japanese customs to include the ceremonial breaking of the Saki barrel and a special performance by the Takeyama-Jiei Drum Team.
