The operation resulted in the arrest of a Taliban leader who had operational control over a group of extremists responsible for attacks against Afghan and coalition forces in multiple districts. He was also responsible for weapons facilitation operations in the local area, procuring and distributing weapons and improvised explosive device components to be used in attacks against Afghan and coalition forces.
