A U.S. Air Force KC-10 Extender parked on the Travis flight line is serviced while being prepared for the next mission Oct. 4, 2019, at Travis Air Force Base, California. The aircraft was highlighted as part a 60th Maintenance Group Honorary Commanders Tour. The purpose of the Honorary Commanders Program is to promote relationships between base senior leadership and civilian partners, foster civic appreciation of the Air Force mission and its Airmen, maximize opportunities to share the Air Force story with new stewards and to communicate mutual interest, challenges and concerns senior leaders and civilian stakeholders have in common.
