Air Force Staff Sgt. Nate Alvis (top) and Tech. Sgt. Steven Krach with the 820th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers (RED HORSE), based at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nev., work together to secure a railing on a playground being constructed, June 19, 2011, in the district of Nieuw Amsterdam. This playground is the first in a series of three that will be constructed for the children of Suriname during the New Horizons training exercise. New Horizons is a cooperative humanitarian training exercise between the Suriname government and the United States Southern Command with the goal of helping to improve the quality of life for the people of Suriname.
