Airmen push themselves toward the finish line during the first annual "Run the Runway Fun Run," March 29, 2013, at Travis AFB, Calif. The event took place on a new runway that opened the day prior. Organizer 1st Lt. Ryan Hill, 60th Civil Engineering Squadron, hoped having the 5k run on the runway would give airmen from all units a chance to see a part of the base rarely seen by most people, and to have a better understanding of how important everyone's role is to our mission.
