Coast Guard Lt. Amanda Hood, commanding officer, Coast Guard Cutter Pike, presides over the burial at sea of Ernest W. Woldemar, a veteran of the Coast Guard who served in World War II from 1942 to 1945 aboard USS LST 19 in the Pacific and participated in several campaigns among the Northern Mariana Islands of Tinian, Saipan, Tarawa and Peleliu.
