Ceremonies and Parades - American troops historic march through London. London had a chance in June (Aug) 1917 to express its enthusiasm over America's entry into the war. A contingent of U.S. troops marched through the streets and past the King at Buckingham Palace. The troops passing the Queen Victoria Memorial, which was unveiled by the Kaiser, who little throught, then, that American troops would one day pass the memorial on their way to fight against him and his troops and assist the Allies
