Ceremonies - New York - Brooklyn Red Cross nurses parade. Women members of the American Red Cross paraded the streets of Brooklyn as a means of stimulating interest in the activities of their organization. Every hopsital in Brooklyn was represented in the Ambulance Division. Boy Scouts were assigned to drop out at each block along the line of march and distribute membership blanks among the crowd for signatures.
