Circle, AK, September 3, 2013 -- The Mennonite Disaster Service completes the stairway of this replacement home after the disaster survivor decided to move up to higher ground away from the repetitive flooding areas. The home was was relocated to higher ground after severe floods destroyed the previous structure. The homeowners opted to move out of harms way and mitigate the loss of life and property with a FEMA grant and utilize the volunteer labor coordinated by FEMA with Mennonite Disaster Services.
