Summary

Col. Michael Banton (left), the deputy chief of clinical services for Bravo Company, 325th Combat Support Hospital (CSH), talks to his Soldiers during a training exercise at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., Aug. 1, 2015. The 325th CSH is a U.S. Army Reserve unit and part of the 139th Medical Brigade, 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support) out of Independence, Missouri. The training conducted part of Operation Caucasus Restore, a platform that provides training to more than 4,000 service members from 72 different units. Training includes virtual and real world scenarios. Some of the exercises the 325th CSH conduct includes casualty evacuation both ground and helicopter based, treating a pregnant civilian, performing surgery on a wounded soldier and treating chemical burns. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
