Col. Robert Kiebler, 49th Wing commander, carries the flag starting the Prisoner of War, Missing in Action Day of Remembrance at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., Sept. 18. Members of Team Holloman paid their respects during the Day of Remembrance by taking shifts with the POW/MIA flag, running a total of 24 hours, and standing a 24-hour guard at the POW/MIA memorial in Heritage Park. “We need to always remember the sacrifices of those that have gone before us,” said Kiebler. “We will never forget, and we will never rest until all of those accounted for are returned home.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Leah Ferrante/Released)
