Young is an Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Specialist with a detachment of Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 at Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, N.C. Anthony is a section leader with MWSS-271 air operations. Young received the award for his volunteer efforts in his local community. He volunteered more than 300 hours as a volunteer firefighter at the Western Carteret Fire Department Cedar Point, N.C., and also volunteers with the Newport Fire Company.
