Bonin, who teaches at the Center for Strategic Leadership at the U.S. Army College stressed the importance of coordination centers and liaison networks within a coalition command structure, such as the one led by former Third Army (U.S. Army Central) commander, Lt. Gen. John J. Yeosock, during Operation Desert Shield.
