Fire protective training during Tradewinds 2016

Mortiner Carpentier, a firefighter with the French Armed Forces, demonstrates for members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Barbados Defense Force the proper method for donning fire protective gear during a training exercise as part of Tradewinds 2016 on June 6 in Grenada. This demonstration was part of an afternoon joint training exercise between the French, Canadian and United States forces specifically designed to explain each country’s unique technique for fighting fire and pipe issues. Tradewinds 2016 is a joint combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
