FORT BENNING, Ga. – In an October 2018 photo, visitors and others attend a U.S. Army Ranger School graduation ceremony at Fort Benning. Large groups of visitors attending graduations and other such events were a normal part of Fort Benning's calendar before the COVID-19 outbreak. Since the outbreak, large gatherings are banned, as are visits for social, recreational and entertainment purposes. However, Fort Benning officials continue weighing requests for certain kinds of visits on a "case-by-case" basis and okaying them when appropriate.
