Fort Lee prepares for renown culinary training event
Summary
FORT LEE, Va. (March 8, 2018) -- Sgt. Dominique Richardson, rations noncommissioned officer, Joint Culinary Center of Excellence, stacks canned goods in the JCCoE rations room March 5 in preparation for the 43rd Joint Culinary Training Event March 9-15. The JCTE brings together military culinarians from throughout DoD for the purpose of improving individual and collective food service skills via a competitive format. The rations room supplies competitors with all food items needed to compete in each of the categories. Officials expect roughly 400 entries for this year’s event. Richardson is one of a team of Soldiers and civilians responsible for keeping the facility stocked during the competition.
