From left: The Nevada Army National Guard’s flight team of Sgt. Andrew J. Lynch, crew chief; Chief Warrant Officer 4 Aaron Wallace, pilot; and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Kevin Keeler, pilot, coordinate an April 16 mission assignment at Sutter Creek, California, during Wild Land Firefighting Training (WLFF) between the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and California National Guard. The annual training gives both entities an opportunity to train together in preparation for the upcoming fire season. The Nevada team from Las Vegas’ 3rd Battalion, 140th Aviation Regiment, utilize the training to employ their UH-72A Lakota helicopter into a firefighting operation.
