Summary
Iraqi soldiers assigned to 71st Iraqi Army Brigade practice observing targets in a dry-fire scenario under the instruction of an Australian soldier assigned to Task Group Taji during the initial phases of urban operation training at Camp Taji, Iraq, Nov. 2, 2015. The soldiers learned how to properly clear buildings and populated areas in an effort to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. There are currently more than 3,100 coalition personnel from 18 partner nations including the U.S., with coalition commitments eventually totaling 1,500 advisers in Iraq conducting advise and assist missions and training at building partner capacity sites with the Iraqi Security Forces.
