James Porter (left), the Fort Bliss National Cemetery director, was joined by the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division leadership team (right) and a junior Soldier to lay the commemorative wreath during a closed Memorial Day ceremony at the national cemetery in El Paso, Texas, May 25, 2020. In accordance with National Cemetery Administration guidance on graveside activity during the COVID-19 pandemic, the El Paso VA Health Care System teamed up with 2nd ABCT, 1st AD and Team Bliss to put on a closed program that was livestreamed to more than 50,000 viewers over the internet.
