Lieutenant Col. George Hasseltine, the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force commanding officer, and a native of Metairie, La., conducts rifle drills during a dry-fire exercise aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 14, 2014. The purpose of the training was to refresh the Marines on their weapon skills prior to conducting a live-fire event later this week.
