Summary
LTG Charles D. Luckey, chief, U.S. Army Reserve, learns about U.S. Army Japan’s structure, missions and operations during a briefing conducted Aug. 24, 2016, in Camp Zama, Japan. For the first time in his life, Luckey set foot on Japanese soil to understand and appreciate the close relationship between the Army Reserve and USARJ. The short yet informative tour also gave Luckey a rare opportunity to directly engage with Soldiers working and training in Japan and promote the Army Reserve’s new vision of becoming a lethal, capable and combat ready force prepared to face the unique challenges of the Pacific.
