MANAMA, Bahrain (Nov. 7, 2006) Los Angeles class nuclear-powered attack submarine USS DALLAS (SSN 700) departed Manama following a weeklong port visit to the island country. DALLAS is midway through a six-month deployment to U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet area of operations in support of Maritime Security Operations (MSO). MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations.
