Marines with Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, fire an M777A2 howitzer during a gunnery precision and calibration exercise at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Dec. 15, 2015. The M777A2 has an unassisted range of 15 miles. The Marines conducted the training to solidify team cohesion and enhance their readiness to complete live-fire missions in preparation for Exercise Cold Response 16. Cold Response 16 is a multinational, Norwegian-led exercise that prepares more than 15,000 troops from 16 countries for support and combat operations in harsh conditions while working together to create stronger bonds between the allied forces.
