Maryland Army National Guard Soldiers from B. Co., 1st Battalion, 175th Infantry Regiment, control access and verify appointments at the COVID-19 testing site at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 14, 2020. Members of the 104th Medical Company Area Support are also present, providing medical assistance to hospital staff administering tests. More than 2,000 Maryland National Guard members are activated to support Maryland’s response to COVID-19. The MDNG is working in close coordination with the many agencies to support civil authorities to augment civil agency capabilities.
