New Jersey National Guard soldiers practice crowd control during the Region II Homeland Response Force External Evaluation at the State Preparedness Training Center, Oriskany, N.Y., May 17, 2012. The NJNG provides Security Forces airmen from the 108th Wing and the 177th Fighter Wing, Military Police from the 328th Military Police Company and Transportation soldiers from the 253rd Transportation Company. These forces provide force protection and maintains crowd control and casualty movement in support of the CBRN response. HRF is a part of the larger Department of Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological (CBRN) and Nuclear Enterprise developed to improve the nation's ability to respond to multiple, near-simultaneous large-scale CBRN incidents.
