Peering at LANCE CORPORAL Chris Murfee's wounds, STAFF SERGEANT Tracy Lewis assesses the damage and has to make the decision to evacuate or to leave behind for the next trip during Jungle Warfare Training Course (JWTC) training, Okinawa, Japan. Young Medical Students from 3D Medical Battalion and 3D Dental Battalion took various classes at the JWTC to improve confidence, moral, and to learn to rely on themselves and their equipment. These classes, which are designed to give the students hands on training in combat medicine, include mass casualty drills and exercises in how to perform the proper medical techniques in an unfamiliar and stressful setting
