SEAMAN Ricardo Ponche lends a hand during line handling party. Chinese sailors man the decks of the PRC guided missle destroyer HARBIN (DDG-112) as they arrive pier side of Naval Air Station North Island at San Diego as a goodwill gesture between the U.S. and Chinese navies. This marks the first time Chinese warships have crossed the Pacific and visited the Continental United States. The destroyers HARBIN and ZHUHAI, and the supply ship NANCANG will moor next to the aircraft carrier USS CONSTELLATION (CV 64), at Naval Station, North Island. The ships are expected to visit for five days
