Summary

Sgt. Christopher Kudirka poses with an Iraqi child who just received a new bike from Kudirka's patrol in the Sha'ab neighborhood of the Adhamiyah District of Baghdad, Oct. 12, 2008. Kudirka is a member of Company A, 3rd Battalion, 29th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. Kudirka and his fellow Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers conduct security patrols in Sha'ab in support of the 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 3rd BCT, 4th Inf. Div., and often stop to interact with the population and provide gifts to children and families.

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
