Erickson is the winner of the non-commissioned officer category of the Army National Guard regional contest, which is a test of various soldiering skills and knowledge. The region 6 best warrior competition included soldiers from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.
